Too Big To Dress?!

Bebe Rexha is a singer and songwriter who was nominated for 2 Grammy awards this year, so she needed something awesome to wear. Well, a few weeks before the Grammys she put a video on Instagram telling how designers were refusing to dress her or make her a dress because of her size.

Seriously? She is a size 6. I mean, people can become a size 6 by eating a burrito.

The designers said that because she wasn't a size 0 or 2 she would not fit in their show sizes and so they would not bother with making something that would fit her. Well, her video changed that. Famous designers like Jeremy Scott, Moschino, Karl Lagerfeld, and Christian Siriano contacted her. And, some of the designers who had turned her down started calling her back. She was super classy though and is not naming them. She said she was not angry but did not want to work with people that do not like her for herself.

She wore this beautiful gown to the pre-party and another beautiful gown to the Grammys and I think that those designers who turned her down are total fools.

Bebe said she just wants other girls to love their bodies the way she loves hers, and that the fashion world needs to change their attitude. She also told the designers that said no to her that they are crazy because that is like saying to all the women in the world who are size 6/8 and up that they are not worth dressing or beautiful, and that she does not want to wear their dresses.

I think she is awesome.
