Smart Girl Society is an amazing organization that educates parents and teens on social media safety but, even more importantly to Self-ValYOU, authenticity on social media. The first time I ever met Ms. Amie Konwinski it was in 2016. I loved her message about being smart on social media and the internet. This year, I was so happy to get to see her again, and participate in her seminar that talked about how we view ourselves on the internet, and how you have to keep what you see on social media in perspective! I am proud to be an Ambassador for Smart Girl Society.

I know I'm using social media to put this out there, which is pretty ironic, but hey, it's great for this.

You are not your Instagram or Facebook posts! And all those other people out there, posing perfectly looking all carefree with their dress blowing just right and having a super good hair day, they are not that all the time either. It's okay to look your best, but don't let yourself get down thinking everyone gets out of bed that way.
