Progress Not Perfection

Confession: sometimes I do not always think positively. That's right, the person who has a positive self-image mentoring program does not always follow my own advice 100% of the time. Because I am a human being. I used to get scared about when I had rough days or a stumble and got down on something because I was afraid it meant that how can I say I have this program about positive self-talk if I make mistakes sometimes? Then I realized that no one is perfect and if you don't have challenges then you aren't growing, and you will take for granted the progress you have made. And my friend Ms. Rowe said it best in her IntervYOU, that she tries to make it goal to be a little bit better everyday than the day before. If you are trying and working and the bumpy line of turning around negative self-talk moments is slowly moving up then be proud of yourself because that is what it is all about and that is what I remind myself. Progress is the goal not perfection.
