Everyone makes resolutions for the New Year and this year one of my resolutions is to really believe what I always say--that positive self-image is not a destination but a process.

Well, sometimes it can feel like a destination if you are having a great self and body image day! But on days where I'm having a tough time following my own program or advice, I want to be more forgiving of myself. Sometimes I feel like if I am a positive self-image mentor I have to be perfect and always perfectly executing my program if I want to qualify to be a mentor or a teacher of Self-ValYOU. But that is impossible.

This year has been challenging. It's been a year of a lot of change around me and in me and with change it's easy to feel vulnerable. It's not unusual for me to relapse back into negative self-talk if I am struggling with change or how I'm feeling about myself. There is that phrase that it's not about how many times you fall down it's about how many times you get up. I want to remember in 2020 that getting up is the most important part and that if I were always Polly Positive Perfect, I wouldn't remember how important it is to have these tools. It's a reminder, not a failure.

I wish all of you a great 2020, thank you so much for supporting me and my program so much in 2019. It has grown so much and I have big things on the horizon! Reach out to me if you would like me to come speak for you, or do an IntervYOU, in the New Year!!
Love,
Abbie
