How amazing are these Girls On The Run??? Look at all those blankets and cards of encouragement they made and books they collected. I could not be more proud of these amazing, beautiful, smart, confident leaders.

This week was our last week of getting ready for the #PowerUPForGOTR 5k race this weekend and the curriculum requires the girls to come up with their own project, called a Community Impact Project, that they all agree on and get done together. My team decided to make blankets and cards and collect new and gently used books for kids at Children's Hospital St. Louis. It was a perfect way to use a stack of books I set aside recently when I was cleaning out my bookshelf, and I had fun showing the girls the books I read when I was their age as well all brought in our donations.

After two meetings this week, we had a dance party yesterday to kick off our last regular meeting of the fall season before finishing the care packages!

I have loved every minute I have spent running with them, teaching and mentoring them, and listening to them this season and it's been a privilege to get to know them. Next stop: 5k ❤️ #valYOUable#letstellher Girls on the Run St. Louis
