How Do You Combat "Fat Talk" With Friends?

I know that I have highlighted the Dove Self Esteem Project before but today I want to share something that I love about what they are doing which is producing short video clips that are educational and demonstrate different self-esteem concepts. I just saw this one recently and I LOVE IT because it acts out what "fat talk" looks like in real life, and it shows two super important things. One, the girl receiving the fat talk does NOT let it be contagious and make her start criticizing herself. Two, she demonstrates how to respond to someone using fat talk, and you see that it works and the girl using fat talk stops. I think this video is so helpful, I am incorporating it in my presentations right away! Thank you Dove for giving positive self-image mentors these tools!
